Dean & Founder

Tiffany Lenau discovered her love for yoga in 1992 and developed a strong personal practice in the years to follow. After finishing her bachelor’s degree she listened to her heart and received a certification in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga 2005. In 2006 she became an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan College, winning the student voted, Teacher of the Year Award in 2007. In the same year she opened Yoga Roots with the intention of creating sacred space for healing, peace and presence in her community. In 2011 she earned a Senior Level Certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga. Kripalu yoga embraces all people and meets them right where they are. The intention behind this practice is love and compassion. She was Voted Best Yoga Instructor by the Northern Express in both 2011 and 2012. During these years she was busy developing and establishing, Be the Love, a Yoga Alliance Registered, Yoga Teacher Training School.

Tiffany is also a Healing Arts Professional and is certified in Positional Release Therapy and Reiki Energy Healing. She has seen many lives changed through the healing power of yoga. She considers herself blessed to be sharing this gift with her students and especially with future teachers. Yoga empowers them to find healing and peace within themselves and inspires them to share it with others.

Tiffany graduated her first class of instructors in June of 2012 and is delighted to see the ripple effect of teachers in the surrounding communities.
